I. Not wearing ear protection when around loud machinery
II. Not wearing a hard hat in a construction zone.
III. Spray painting in a room with bad ventilation.
IV. Not wearing safety belt in a car.
V. Plugging in too many cords in a single outlet.
VI. Not wearing safety glasses when using machines.
VII. Not cleaning the dust from saws.
VIII. Running through a shop area.
IX. Let the exhaust from a car accumulate in a badly ventilated area.
X. Not cleaning the shout from a fireplace.
XI. Not wearing the proper safety gear when using chemical.
XII. Talking to someone how is using a power tool.
XIII. Leaving damaged power tools plugged in.
XIV. Not reporting an injury regardless of the seriousness.
XV. Welding without a mask on.
XVI. Touching live wires with out proper protection.
XVII. Smoking around flammable chemical.
XVIII. Turning on the gas without the pilot on.
XIX. Using chemicals with open sores.
XX. Drinking under the influence.

I. If you do not wear your seatbelt and you get into an accident you take all of the blame. The other driver may be 100% liable for the damage to your vehicle, but not wearing a seat belt contributed to your injuries, so you are at least partially responsible. File a claim with your insurance company and let them decide which pays what percentage. [link]
II. If you leave the gas range stove on, one small spark ignite the whole surrounding environment. It can also create carbon monoxide poisoning that could most likely kill you. [link]
III. Use goggles when working in the shop or on site. If you don’t you could become blind or seriously hurt. Also, if you don’t wear goggles you could get chemicals in your eyes. [link]
IV. Helmets or hard hats are use on every construction site. These are used to protect people form serious injury or even death. Even though helmets protect you from small objects or projectiles, there are still objects that the hard hat can’t protect you from. [link]
V. Never leave a burning cigarette out or put it out in a carpet. More than half of the fires that happen in the home are because of cigarettes. They pose a humongous threat to producing a fire especially around the environment with a carpet present. [link]
VI. Never have an open flame near flammable objects. Even if it is not open it can still pose a threat because the fumes inside can ignite. Flammable objects can also become combustible and blow up if there is a open heat source. [link]
VII. Never throw water on an electrical fire. The reason for this is that water conducts electricity and it will result in the fire getting larger. The proper thing to do is to turn off the main power and use the proper chemical fire extinguisher. [link]
VIII. An unclean chimney in a serious fire hazard. If you don’t clean your chimney a least once every mouth it could cause a major fire. The reason for this is that when a chimney is unclean it deposits a highly flammable combustible product called creosote. This gets close to the fire, ignites, and creates a fire. [link]
IX. The main cause of weak or rotten floorboards is because of a fungus call dry rot. Dry rot is the number one reason for this because it is the only kind of these fungi that uses very little water. In order to fix this problem the floor has to be fungi sterilized to make sure you cam put new floorboards down. [link]
X. The main reason for faulty stairs is that they are made of poor design. The second reason is that they are old and could be rotted. Either way this poses as a safe act because of the serious injuries that can occur. Someone can fall or trip down or off of them and it could become fatal. [link]_id=10406
